Judicial Nominees and Due Process
Hi,
I'd like you to think about what the process of Judicial nominations and selection, and how it's worked the past few decades. It's provided mechanisms for the Senate to balance any given party's attempts to assign life-time seats in our nation's courts in an unbalanced manner. This has worked for both parties, and Clinton nominees have been blocked as well as those of both Bushes, etc.
However, the current administration and "majority" party wishes to change the system so that a majority party can steam roll nominees through the process. I don't believe any party should have this power.
Please contact your representatives in congress and tell them how you feel: http://www.visi.com/juan/congress/
I get lazy and don't research this stuff when I'm thinking about it, so I thought I'd offer some helpful references.
Here's the Senate's page on Nominations:

You can view statistics about this here:

Here's an excellent article about judicial independence (in relation to the Supreme Court):

Here's the Whitehouse page on Judicial nominees (for His opinion):

Sorry for such a long letter.
