Brand New Car
Oprah Winfrey stunned the audience on her show by giving them all a brand new car.
The chat show host gave each of the 276 guests a key to a Pontiac G6 sports sedan - which were parked outside the building topped with a big red bow.
The 4millionGBP giveaway started the 19th series of 'The Oprah Winfrey Show' , which includes the theme 'Wildest Dreams Come True'.
The programme opened with the multi-millionairess calling 11 audience members to the stage to tell them how they had won the new cars from General Motors.
She then handed out gift boxes to the rest of the guests, saying one held keys to a 12th car.
At the count of three, the boxes were all opened and the ecstatic guests realised they were all winners, while Oprah jumped up and down yelling: "Everybody gets a car! Everybody gets a car! Everybody gets a car!"
A spokesman for the show - which has been the top daytime talk programme in the US since 1989 - said: "We've never done a giveaway like this before."
