Written for Songfight! in response to hurricane Katrina's attack on New Orleans. I can't put myself in the situation that so many people now find themselves in. I can only dwell on the prospects of rebuilding a community that is now entirely homeless and dispersed.

when you're left to live in dispair 

can't eat no food - can't wash no hair 

and when you cried - cause we still ain't there 

who could blame you 

if you can, save new orleans 

all the love and all the sin 

it will float in its moat 

but it won't be what it'd been
