let's talk of opportunity

let's talk about survival

let's talk of possibilities

as if they have a rival

 

it's common to know everything

that's grown up all around us

but when we start imagining

we come up quite dumbfunded

hold on - your mind

get out - on time

there's little you can say to me

that doesn't sound enticing

I'm sure that continuity

is something they're advising

 

if this were telemarketed

we'd hang up fast and angry

they try to put it in our head

that what we feel is envy

for I don't love you anymore

there is nothing you don't know

and nothing I can say not known before
