Another one written for Songfight and bringing up the questions of leadership and trust. Something we look for at work, at home, at large.

Everything came together April 8th (words and music). Then John Benjamin of the JBB came through with the cello parts, and the world was a better place. Thanks JB!

Lie for me

I'm not asking for your soul

can't you see

that we share the same goal?

i see through your eyes

i see what is wise

each day and each night

we'll fight for what's right

so lie for me

cry for me

it's hard to get my way

blaspheme

what certain people say

they'll tear me apart

before i can start

and say that i'm wrong

so I wrote this song

to ask you to cry for me

I'm doing my part

I follow my heart

the path is so clear

I'll bring you results

and justify votes

to plenty of cheer

now die for me

and when you're gone i'll tell

your story

how everything was swell

till evil came down

and threatened your town

you knew then and there

that i really care

so you'll die for me

you're doing your part

my pride's off the chart

i'm floating on air

my plan has begun

no matter who won

we're winning out there

I'm doing my part

I follow my heart

the path is so clear

I'll bring you results

and justify votes

to plenty of cheer

if you'll die for me
