In movies, sound is as important as sight in telling stories and
setting mood. Music is part of that, and so is dialogue. But there are
also other sounds, such as footsteps and doors opening.

Dropload is a place for you to drop your files off and have them picked up by someone else at a later time. Recipients you specify are sent an email with instructions on how to download the file. Files are removed from the system after 7 days, regardless if they have been picked up or not. You can upload any type of file, mp3, movies, docs, pdfs, up to 100MB each! Recipients can be anyone with an email address

Audio Books
NY library debuts digital audio books: no iPods
NEW YORK (Reuters) - Kafka novels, the Bible, and hundreds of other audio books will be available for digital download at the New York Public Library's Web site this week, but none of the files will work with an iPod.
Like that's hard to fix ;)

CBS Radio News is jumping into podcasting. The network plans to develop additional uses for much of the audio content and news reports that either don’t make it on air in longer form, or that listeners might want to hear on-demand.

Song Airlines Builds Record Label in the Sky
Song Airlines is doing more than just offering cut-rate fares, with the Delta-owned discount fleet now toeing the music waters. Song airplanes already feature entertainment consoles for videos, music and games, with Panasonic Avionics Corp. powering the solution. Now, the airline will use that platform to promote a new album from Better Than Ezra, represented by Artemis Records. The deal also ties in LA-based marketing firm Creative Branding Group Inc., which is helping to shape the nascent Song Records brand. Customers of the airline will now be able to listen to tracks from the latest Better Than Ezra disc, and can purchase the CD from flight attendants. Meanwhile, Creative Artists Agency (CAA) is helping to fill the entertainment consoles with movie and gaming conten
