NY library debuts digital audio books: no iPods
NEW YORK (Reuters) - Kafka novels, the Bible, and hundreds of other audio books will be available for digital download at the New York Public Library's Web site this week, but none of the files will work with an iPod.
Like that's hard to fix ;)

That doesn't make much sense at all. I'm sure they'll come up with some sort of solution to that issue, sooner than later... It's #1 music player in the world. I'd say that's a standard.

Yes, but that doesn't define a standard. The point is, they are providing eBook audio content in a Windows Media format that iPods can't play natively. There are plenty of work-arounds for this, however, which allow users to load them onto iPods.
